About me

I live in Maryland. I attended Friends School of Baltimore for my high school career. I currently work at Kennedy Krieger as a Teacher Assistant. I previously worked as a Classroom Assistant. Additionally, I worked for Loyola’s Graduate Center as a Records Research Assistant for 3 years. I worked as an Admissions Assistant for Loyola University where my duties include working with a variety of departments’ on- and off campus as well as organizing and facilitating workshops, trainings and events. I also assisted in updating social media platforms, website and additional outreach to students. As an Admission Assistant I assisted councilors and with daily activities as well as assist with setting up and closing programs. I participated in attending on campus events and Saturday (SIP) programs in addition to monitoring the inbox and working the front desk.
I earned my bachelors degree from Loyola University Maryland May 2019. I majored in Advertising and Digital Media. I am proud to call Baltimore my home and I am looking for a career opportunity in a well-established organization in Baltimore where my academic background and personal skills will allow me the opportunity of growth.
I completed my Senior Journalism Capstone class, January 2019—May 2019 where I served as Design Editor for our publication. We developed a magazine with multimedia components. Prepared a business plan, created a prototype magazine a media platform, including print, video, and online. The name of our publication was entitled ‘Spark.’ I worked with the Creative Director on all aspects of the publication including design and layout of photos and graphics. Coordinates with Managing Editor and Content Editor for photos and graphics submitted with articles.
September 2018 through December 2018 in Web 1, I created and designed a fully functioning website using Brackets. Learned design principles, Web usability, and search engine optimization associated with website design and development. Students also learn essential skills with applications such as HTML, CSS, Content Management systems and other related programs needed to build effective websites.

Experience:
September 2018 through December 2018, I had the opportunity of taking my Advertising Capstone class where our class designed and presented our Plansbook to our client, Sagamore Spirit.
In January 2017 through May 2017, I positioned established author, David Carter’s book From the Edge of the World in the market place by direct sales and by wholesale distribution to chain and independent bookstores published through Apprentice House. Wrote news releases, pitched review media, conducted print and electronic campaigns, planned author events.
May 2015 through June 2015 I had the opportunity to volunteer with Signed, Sealed and Delivered as well as with an artist. I was an assistant and a web designer for a freelance architect, Stephanie Fantl and her husband, Kostas Damalas, who is an established painter. My duties included creating a successfully run and organized website and rebranding of the artist, assisting with an “art crawl” and assisting in photographing sites for future projects for the architect. It was through this experience I was motivated to do a double concentration in advertising and digital media.
In my career, I would like to use my talents to help people express their ideas to a wide audience. By following this path, I can fulfill myself by being creative and at the same time, help others to find the goods and services they need. In the future I plan on interning with a company that fits my field of concentration such as Under Armor or National Geographic. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree Emerging Media to gain additional education and knowledge.
